Where to Eat and Drink in Cortlandt

If you’re looking for a memorable meal, your best option is heading to one of the award-winning eateries in Peekskill. Cortlandt doesn’t have many upscale options, but it has a good number of family-style restaurants serving stick-to-your-ribs fare. One of our favorites is Savannah and Company, a homey spot in Cortlandt Manor. This southern-style eatery excels at dishes like shrimp and grits and chicken pot pie.

A chalkboard on the wall lists all your options at the Little Cabin Sandwich Shop, in an honest-to-goodness cabin in the hamlet of Cortlandt Manor. The sign out front urges you to try the smoked meat sandwiches, and they turn out to be a great choice. The BLTs with house-cured bacon are also winners. Wash everything down with the homemade watermelon juice.

As the name implies, Buchanan’s Fat Sal’s Bar and Grill does double duty as the best place to grab a beer or sit down for some nicely prepared pub grub. There’s a happy hour menu on weekdays, so take a seat at the bar and enjoy beer-battered onion rings or panko-crusted fried zucchini.
