What’s the Housing Stock Like in Cortlandt?

One of the best things about house hunting in and around Cortlandt is the sheer number of options that are available. There are more than 10,000 single family homes  in the town of Cortlandt, and that doesn’t even include the villages of Buchanan and Croton-On-Hudson that sit within its borders. You can always find a wide variety of properties in your price range. 

Cortlandt’s older neighborhoods are filled with modestly sized homes built in the 20th century. If you like Colonials and Cape Cods, there are a lot of choices here. The lots tend to be about an acre, keeping the area less densely populated than many of the nearby communities. Newer homes in the northern and southern parts of Cortlandt are often on two acre lots.

Prices in Cortlandt haven’t quite caught up with the rest of Westchester County, so it’s possible to find decent deals on homes. If you’re looking for a community with a quiet, suburban feel, it’s worth taking a look at Cortlandt.
