The main drag running through Croton-On-Hudson’s Upper Village is called Grand Street. On this and nearby streets you’ll find a string of restaurants and an excellent pub called the Croton Tapsmith. The specialty here is craft beers made within a 100 mile radius. If you’re feeling hungry, order a pizza from their oven they nicknamed “La Belle Sophia.”
The restaurant that keeps me coming back to Croton-On-Hudson is Raga Indian Cuisine, truly a find if you love Indian cuisine. Start off with the expertly spiced samosas, filled with potatoes or lamb, that are perfect for sharing. For your main dish, you can’t go wrong ordering chicken tandoori, cooked the traditional way in a tandoor oven.
Another favorite is Yuka’s Latin Fusion, located on the northern edge of Croton-On-Hudson. The specialty here is taking traditional dishes and giving them a fresh spin. Try the Chipotle Chicken Egg Rolls or the Maduro Lasagna, which is made with ground beef, chimichurri, and sweet plantains. The cocktails here are creative and colorful.
