If you can score a seat at one of the umbrella-shaded tables on the deck at di'Vine Wine Bar, you’ll have one of the best views in town. You’ll overlook the stone bridge crossing over Wappingers Creek. Hudson Valley Magazine has named this the best wine bar in the area for six years in a row, and it’s easy to see why. The staff is congenial, the wine list is extensive, and the pub grub menu is a step above the rest.
You’re guaranteed to get at least one compliment when you walk through the door at Coup Champagne Bar. That’s because a neon sign proclaims: “You’re like really pretty!” The atmosphere is as light as the cotton candy-colored walls would suggest, but owner Vanessa Goodwin is serious about her bubbly. She’s happy to suggest a bottle of some new vintage that you’re sure to love.
There’s a cozy little tasting room at the Obercreek Brewing Company, but most people gravitate to the picnic tables outside in the beer garden. That’s where you can enjoy beers with names like Simple Math (a soft yet crisp IPA) and Complex Math (a double IPA saturated with more hops). Speaking of hops, it’s 100% organic and grown right here on the premises at the Obercreek Farm.
